Serves 4. Cooking time: 40 min.
- 2 medium fennel bulbs
- 25 g butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- Trim some of the root off the fennel.
- Slice the bulbs into 1 cm slices and place in a single layer into a ovenproof dish.
- Add the butter, honey and enough water to barely cover the fennel and cover with either a lid or some foil.
- Cook in a low heated oven for about 30 mins and then remove the foil and cook for a further 10 mins until tender
