Pears poached in Cranberry juice
- 12 small pears
- 1 litre of cranberry juice
- 2 star anise
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 2 cloves
- 60 g soft brown sugar
- Boil cranberry juice with sugar and spices in a large saucepan.
- Peel the pears and poach them in the juice about 20 minutes, then remove from heat, serve warm or cold.
